This is a terrific book, if you are in to Unix and Linux system administration, if you are into counted cross stitch instead, this book isn't for you. I'm glad it's made available for low cost used as I'm not experienced enough to warrant the pay it would take to afford the current edition.

Excellent book. If there were just one to have, and you were looking to REALLY understand Linux & Unix (and even some BSD) this is the book. Enjoyable to read, whether cover to cover or picking what you need. If you are a serious Linux/Unix person THIS IS THE BOOK.

Contains 95% of content of the newest version. Works for me.
