Reviewed on www.walmart.com·sally
My biggest berf is absolutely no material for setup involved. Not a manual, not even a fold-out piece of paper with any information on any of the connections. If you have questions on the features, its a constant internet lookup. There is a built in app called Smart Things which Apparently means it comes with the ability respond to Alexa since there is a built in Alexa app... but the remote doesn't have any microphone abilities so that if you want that you've actually got to buy a different one from Amazon or wherever might carry it. To control the sound you use the remote and there is a plus button and a minus button. When you press it shows the sound level or mute, but does not turn up or down even though that is what the implication is. I have mine plugged directly into a CAT5 cable. I don't see any lag. the home screen is cluttered and it would be nice to rearrange the banners of information. Who knows since no manual is ever found for it anywhere. The picture is very nice. The sound is so so. I ordered a soundbar. There's a lot I haven't tried. My sole purpose was to get away from paying for expensive cable. But now, its a chinese menu of streaming apps.

This TV has a great picture and sound. Even with out the sound bar I purchased separately the sound is much cleaner and clearer than my previous TV so that I can understand dialog 100% better. It has some great features and programing that I wasn't expecting.\n\nThe downsides: It is not intuitive at all in the electronic set up. I had to search many different setup screens and on line manuals. You need to go online and actually write down the instruction line for each item you need help on, go back to the TV and see if you can find it and then read what that says. Several items it mentions were either extra cost options or not even available any longer and they never even explained what these options were or what they were needed for.\n\nI ordered a more complete remote that I haven't received yet since this one doesn't have fast forward or rewind nor does it have channel number pad. Since remotes are so cheap now, it feels like they easily could have included a better one and with a back light.

Reviewed on www.walmart.com·Juanita
We desperately needed a new tv as the last one we got was a Philips on Black Friday 5 years ago sucked. This is WAY better but not the best on the market. For the price I can't complain $698 Black Friday. Pros HUGE- crisp colors and picture quality is great (for me). Another pro the interface or tv moves quickly and has a lot of great features etc. Cons built in speakers are lacking (but we have a samsung sound bar and sub that helps amplify the experience.) another con and I didn't notice this until it was hung and too late, there are only 2 hdmi ports. In my case 1 is taken up by the HDMI-ARC aka sound bar and the other port is occupied by our surveillance camera system. I had to buy a hdmi switch to use additional devices.\n\nOverall I would recommend this tv for a budget friendly purchase. I will update this if there breaks/stops working.

This TV is great!! My only gripe is that in the days of shows with a lot of action and sports, that 60htz isn't gonna cut it too well, ESPECIALLY if you are a gamer. The 120 htz option is the way to go, but it's way more expensive. At the 60, it's some light blurring. It's nothing noticeable that will ruin the tv experience, but if you watch a 120 htz then immediately watch a 60 htz, you can tell the difference. It still gets the job done and then some. It's more of a nit-pick than anything else. Definitely not a deal breaker though, ESPECIALLY for the price! If you are a gamer who needs the absolute BEST viewing experience, you probably want to pass. But if you're a gamer who doesn't really care about that or a tv watcher whose just fine with a clear 4k picture, you can't go wrong with this tv!!

Reviewed on www.walmart.com·GrandmaNicole
Maybe my expectation was too high, but the picture seems more pixelated than what I was expecting. There was no owners manual, only a manual for the remote. There's no QR on the TV or the box — frankly makes it a pain when trying to research functions of your expensive TV. There was a film on the screen, but couldn't tell if it was a protective film (needs to be removed so it doesn't fuse to the screen) or if it was the polarized film (don't remove!) they said not to remove — the identifier for the protective film was partially there, but not as described. This model apparently comes with and without the protective film — and apparently it's too much to ask for that they tell you by serial number if it is on your Tv or not. Other than that the TV has been fine.

Excellent Smart TV choice. Clear, vivid display. All the streaming channels we use are available. Over the Air reception is good. Added Samsung sound bar even though the built in speakers are good.\nThe only issue is that the remote does not have a closed caption button.. Why Samsung does not provide this is beyond me (our earlier model remote didn't either). You have to go through a bunch of options to simply turn the closed captioning on.. and again to turn closed captioning off. Such a frustrating process for something that should be so simple.. press a button to turn it on, press it again to turn it off.. Yes the settings can be part of a separate menu.

Awesome budget TV, minor con
Reviewed on www.walmart.com·David
I honestly did not expect this TV to look so good at this price point. The key with budget TVs is to set your expectations accordingly. At $250 (at the time of purchase) for the 50 inch version, this is awesome! The TV picture looks sharp, has good colors, and looks smooth. My wife (who is very picky on TV picture quality) was even impressed. However, there are a couple things to mention:\n\nPros:\n-4k display with good colors (considering the price of the TV)\n-Samsung's Motion Xcelerator which delivers a smoother display\n-Auto Low Latency mode for gaming\n-Variable Refresh Rate\n-Decent TV speakers\n-Updated Samsung UI\n-Bluetooth Support\n\nCons:\n-60hz panel (although Motion Xcelerator makes the picture seem smoother than 60)\n-No optical audio port\n-Only has 2 HDMI ports\n\nOverall, this is an excellent TV for the price. The only real problems I have is the lack of ports. I'm using one of the HDMI ports for my soundbar, since the TV doesn't have an optical out port. I also have an Xbox and Nintendo Switch, so I'm short one HDMI port. I now have an HDMI splitter which is a perfectly acceptable solution but I should've just bought the U8000F model that has enough ports.

The design flaw of the...
Reviewed on www.walmart.com·Jonathan
The design flaw of the Samsung Crystal UHF TV is that its native Samsung TV Plus streaming app can't function properly on its own hardware. One would assume native software to native hardware would be better optimized in the same way that macOS might be optimized for Apple products. Most other third-party apps are only marginally better. The main issue with this TV is that its processor is not strong enough to be able to support the majority of streaming offered on today's apps, including the ones by Samsung itself. This results in watching anything that requires an Internet connection to be extraordinarily painful. One can have perfectly set up the TV making sure that there is no app bloat, freeing as much memory as possible, making sure that the cache memory is constantly cleaned, disabling eco power, resetting hardware on both one's own Internet modem as well as the TV itself, and yet it will not remediate the issue. A high-speed Internet connection will not suffice to ensure streaming that isn't continuously interrupted with buffer signals every other minute for 1-5 seconds at a time. There are no exceptions. Unfortunately, a warning must be issued to the consumer that it is never worth it to buy a budget TV if one has the intentions of actually watching TV. A budget TV might be better suited as a glorified monitor to hook up your computer to stream from there directly (circumventing using the TV's processors altogether), but the computing within the TV itself comes up short in terms of performance. The conclusion is that the consumer is forced to buy mid to high tier TVs, like the QLED or higher, if they want to ensure an enjoyable viewing experience. This tier within their TV lineup jeopardizes and sullies Samsung's brand and they would be better off as a company to remove the line altogether, even if it means ostracizing a lower purchasing-power consumer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my Samsung Crystal UHD TV! The picture quality is incredible—vivid colors, sharp resolution, and smooth motion, whether I'm watching movies, sports, or gaming. The 4K clarity makes a noticeable difference, and HDR adds stunning depth to scenes, especially in dark or brightly lit moments.\n\nI mainly use it for streaming shows and movies through apps like Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+, and the Smart TV interface is very intuitive and user-friendly. Setup was a breeze, and I was connected to Wi-Fi and streaming within minutes. The TV also has multiple HDMI ports, which makes it easy to hook up a soundbar and gaming console without hassle.\n\nOne of my favorite features is the voice control—it's convenient when I'm multitasking or can't find the remote. I also appreciate the sleek, modern design; it looks fantastic on my wall and elevates the room.\n\nOverall, this TV has greatly improved my daily routine by making downtime more enjoyable and relaxing. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for top-notch performance at an affordable price point.

This was an anniversary present...
Reviewed on www.walmart.com·Moira
This was an anniversary present for my husband after his TV wore out. He was concerned that the low price meant that it's low end quality, but he changed his mind when we saw the amazingly sharp picture and vivid colors. He didn't like to have to set it up before its primary use as a computer monitor, but when he saw the smart functions in action, he decided that he would use them. He loves 4K video, and the colors are true. He also likes the dynamic range of the sound, which is great when he watches action movies. Snapping on the legs of the TV was easy even though the directions were not so easy because the right and wrong illustration didn't seem to be different. And determining where the power and HDMI ports are was a slight challenge because the manual did not show the exact model we had. But I helped my husband get it set up by using a flash light to find the ports and it was light weight enough for a pair of duffers like we are to get it safely up on the desk. I recommend this TV to anyone seeking quality on a budget because the value is quite good.

This has to be the dumbest smart tv I've ever owned. It's extremely frustrating to use and the settings are mere suggestions. it does TV pretty competently, I love the mobile app and the display is crisp, I'll give it that but here's my frustration: the remote and the interface. There is no way to change inputs unless you're on the home screen and even then, you have to navigate menus to do so, or if you turn on a device, the tv will stop what it's doing to go to that display, so now I have to watch my Xbox load instead of letting it load while I finish this episode, or when I do turn on Xbox, and I do the annoying dance to change inputs, I'm in the correct input now navigating the Xbox, and the screen flashes "game mode on" and sends you back to the home screen because it senses you're playing a game and you have to navigate the input dance all again, but now in game mode!! \n\nIkik, just change the settings, brilliant, let's turn off HDMI CEC to stop the issues with the Xbox, of course, I have done that multiple times and multiple times it turns itself back on. Nothing is intuitive. \n\nReal life example of above: turn on tv, 5 seconds later I hear my Xbox turn on, tv goes from home screen to gaming hub, frustrated I go to change tv settings, I can't cause it's not at the home screen, press the home button and it sends you to the gaming hub home screen, you go to settings and when the tv sees your not changing certain settings, it goes back to the last input, (the game), so I literally have to go to the home screen, start Netflix go to settings to change all settings, then back to inputs to go back to the game. I've done that countless times in the past month

The set up process was not smooth. I could not get the apps icon loaded and after having to research, I discovered it was because the TV came in store mode and I had to do a process to change it. Compared to Roku or fire TVs the process for setting this up as much more cumbersome. I was disappointed that the remote did not come with a voice command feature. This TV has a great picture. It was ok to setup, not difficult just cumbersome. It fits my need fro affordable and great picture. The only issue i have is with the remote controller. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. It's not a battery issue. There is nothing blocking the front of the TV so signal issue shouldn't be a problem. I downloaded the Smart things A app to my phone and use that when it doesn't work. So i did find a work around. It would be nice if the remote worked consistently.

The legs of it are very cheaply made and seem like they might break or probably better to just mount the TV.

Every morning I come downstairs to have my coffee and watch the news and as soon as I turn the TV on it starts showing me recommendations for stupid shows that I would never watch. I don't care about “top pics for me”. I want the TV to come on and show what I was watching last and not have to hunt for 10 minutes for an elusive channel. It is absolutely pathetic how long it takes to find a channel. The TV also is less than 20 feet from my router which is on AT%26T fiber and uses less than 30 feet of cable in the entire pole to house system but the TV is constantly losing signal and having to check for connection. Usually Samsung makes quality stuff. Not this time. Too much useless extra crap that makes it stupid and regrettable.
